Richard C. Perry is currently the
President and Chief Operating Officer of
Pinkney-Perry Insurance Agency, Inc.,
the oldest and largest African-American
Insurance Agency in the state of Ohio.
Mr. Perry directs all Corporate and
Commercial sales and manages the day to
day operations of the Agency.
Prior to working at Pinkney-Perry
Insurance, Mr. Perry was a marketing
representative with E.G. Hutton
(Dayton, Ohio), specializing in
product research and development.
Mr. Perry later worked as a Life
Agent and Financial Planner with the
Equitable Insurance Financial
Services Company.
Mr. Perry is a graduate of Shaker
Heights High School, in Shaker
Heights, Ohio and also holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree in
Marketing from Central State
University (Wilberforce, Ohio). He
has earned the Accredited Advisor in
Insurance (AAI) designation from the
Insurance Institute of America. In
addition, Mr. Perry holds the
Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
designation from the Society of
Certified Insurance Counselors. Mr.
Perry has served on the Political Ad
Hoc Committee of the Ohio
Professional Insurance Agents
Association (PIA). He is currently a
representative on the "Agents
Council" with State Auto Insurance
Company and a "Medallion" Agents
Council Member with the Zurich Small
Business Insurance Company.
Mr. Perry is very active in the
community. He served as mentor for the
Big Brothers and Sisters of Greater
Cleveland and member of the Board of
Directors of the Educational Foundation
- a private organization which raises
money for urban education initiatives.
Mr. Perry serves as a member of the
Corporate Council of the Cleveland
Botanical Gardens. a member of the Solon
Board of Education's Strategic Planning
Committee and also a member of the
Charter Review Commission, City of
Solon, Ohio. He is also a member of the
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Richard C. Perry has been married to
his wife Vanetta for over 17 years, and
they have three sons. They are active
members of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church
in Oakwood Village. His hobbies include
coaching his sons various sports teams,
playing golf, traveling, reading, and
listening to music. |
