Your Business, Growth and Wealth
The Presidents’ Council Foundation Emerging Entrepreneurs Program assists African-American entrepreneurs whose companies enjoy high growth potential to move way beyond the emerging phases and become vibrant, growing businesses. The program takes selected participants through a rigorous 10-month business development curriculum and gives them the tools, access to resources, and networks that can advance their businesses. The goals of the program is to enhance economic growth in Northeast Ohio by strengthening the business success of participating companies and by addressing the unique challenges faced by African-American entrepreneurs.
The program, which began in 2001, is an initiative of the Presidents’ Council Foundation, whose mission is to provide research and educational programming as well as to develop funds, relationships and resources that will lead to the economic growth of African-American businesses in Northeast Ohio. The Foundation, a nonprofit entity, is closely aligned with its parent, The Presidents' Council, an organization of some of the largest African-American-owned companies in Northeast Ohio. Both the Council and the Foundation are devoted to economic development.
Baldwin-Wallace College is the program’s education partner and continues to enhance the curriculum.
