Associates

Associate status is extended to chairman, presidents, chief executive officers and chief operating officers of major corporations in Northeast Ohio.

Associate Council status is based on the potential associate's interest and ability to support the mission and goals of The Presidents' Council with commitments to issues relating to diversity.

• Intellectual Capital - Associates have the opportunity to tap into the resources of successful African American business professionals to enhance dialogue, develop relationships, and exchange ideas on effective business practices and professional barriers. Associates can also access Council research on the impact of African American business in the region.
• Strategic Alliance - Associates' companies can collaborate with premier African American business owners to mutually increase business prospects.
• Diverse Partnerships - Associates gain direct access to a diverse group of suppliers of products and services. The Presidents' Council is also a resource for associates dealing with issues critical to majority organizations, such as ethnic diversity, recruitment and retention, and mentoring and coaching of minority employees.
• Enhance Corporate Image - Affiliation with the Presidents' Council is a visible indication that associate companies are involved and committed to diversity issues. The Presidents' Council can also be a conduit to developing other local, national, and international business prospects based on established Council member relations.
